These steps are critical to protecting lives and property and must be taken as soon as you smell gas.

If you smell gas in your home...
- IMMEDIATELYget a safe distance away from the premises, do not touch anything on the way out and leave the door open behind you.
- Once you are a safe distance away from the premises call 911
- If safe to do so, turn off the gas supply
- Call Sikes propane to fill us in on the situation so we can get a service tech out to check on and repair your propane system
- IPS staff are not emergency responders, we will not enter the premises until it is cleared by emergency responders.
